Your experience begins in our private tasting room, looking out at the glen, with a freshly baked scone, Bothy jam, cream and a hot drink. As you settle in, enjoy a tasting of one of our award-winning liqueurs and discover the remarkable Jam to Dram journey that transformed a family preserves business into Scotland’s newest distillery.
From there, travel back to a time when whisky was distilled in secret amongst the hills and corries of the Angus Glens. Explore the fascinating history of the smugglers and illicit stills that once operated along this famous route, accompanied by a peated dram that captures the spirit of Scotland’s whisky-making past.
Guided through Bothy Distillery, you’ll uncover how legal distilling has returned to Glen Prosen for the first time in centuries. Learn about our approach to spirit-making, our vision for Highland Single Malt whisky, and the character of the landscape that shapes everything we create.
The journey continues with a tasting of our new make spirit, offering a rare opportunity to experience the foundations of our future whisky before concluding back in the Visitor Centre with a final dram and time to reflect on the flavours, stories and heritage of this extraordinary glen.
