Her passion for Scotland, its food and spirit, as well as maintaining Scots heritage and tradition, drives her to create new and exciting spirits in the heart of the Angus Hills. Along with her team, Kim will push forward a new and exciting era for the Glen Prosen Estate.
Ron Welsh
MASTER BLENDER
Ron has worked as a Chief Master Blender and strategic inventory manager for Allied and Beam Suntory.
Now, Ron brings his exceptional expertise to shaping our cask management and refining spirit quality — playing a key role in crafting the future character of Glen Prosen. His vast knowledge and passion will help bring the essence of our distillery to life, one cask at a time.
Bari Read
Specialist Architect, Organic Architects
Bari is a specialist Distillery Architect working with Craft Distillers to create beautiful, durable and functional places. His vision and specialist knowledge in planning and implementation will lead Bothy Distillery into a new chapter.
Lianne MacLennan
Private Cask & Distillery Experience Manager
Lianne joins the team with a wealth of marketing experience and knowledge of the workings of sporting estates and offers first-class customer service. Her eye for detail and tailored experiences add the extra special touch to the Bothy Distillery visits.
She also leads our bespoke cask sales, guiding customers through the unique opportunity to own a personalised cask of Glen Prosen spirit. From cask selection to maturation, Lianne ensures each step is clear, personal, and memorable - helping individuals and groups invest in a truly one-of-a-kind whisky journey.
Karen Somerville
Whisky Specialist
Karen has over 15 years in the whisky industry, from wholesale to retail, marketing and events. Karen is also a whisky judge for many awards in Scotland.
Karen joins the team consulting on marketing for Bothy Distillery and letting the world know about the water of life here at Glen Prosen.
