HISTORY IS OUR GUIDE
In the wild heart of the Angus Glens, Glen Prosen lies cradled between heather-clad hills, and clear tumbling burns, where the air is laced with pine, peat, and the quiet song of the land.
Our hydro-powered, sustainable distillery draws its life from these waters, honouring the enduring spirit of this Scottish glen.
In the 18th and 19th centuries these glens were a smuggler’s stronghold. Hidden bothies sheltered their craft, while the Minister’s Path, the Cateran Trail and the Kilbo Pass became secret lifelines.
By moonlight and mist, they slipped past the Dragoon Guards - casks of usquabae hidden beneath grain and peat - vanishing into the folds of the hills long before the gaugers knew they’d even been there.
